Probably be able to go faster on roller skates. Took my lad over to Yarmouth and on the way back slightly up hill with a head wind it struggled to get to 70 :(

Bald front tyres? Not enough power in it to spin the wheels :D
It is very embarrassing driving it so it's sat outside on the road most of the time I've had it. The only good thing was when the petrol light started flashing at me I went and put

After 3 long weeks I have finally got the car back from the dealers and all seems good. Long bank holiday weekend, technician being on holiday and waiting a week for a part didn't help. The fault was finally traced to the ignition switch being faulty.
I just need some nice weather now so I can fit the K&N and the discs/pads.

Not the best of starts to ownership.
Have they pegged you warranty back to now mate? It's not your fault they could nt get their arses in gear for three weeks.

I'm not sure, I'll have to ask them when I pop in next week to see if they have got me the handbook.

As it's been a nice day I decided I'd have a go at fitting the K&N typhoon kit. I thought it was going to be a 5 minute job until I got the instructions out of the box :banghead: There we're pictures of the car being jacked up and the arch liner being removed etc so I decided to go use my dad's tools which are sitting doing nothing since he passed away last year.
After removing all this crap

It was time to start putting it together :)

Once it was all on, tightened up and checked I took it for a run along the duel carriage way towards Yarmouth. It seems to pick up a fair bit better than it did before which isn't really a surprise after removing all that plastic crap out of the system. The induction noise is pretty loud and it's popping and banging like a good un. I must be a big kid as it certainly put a grin on my face :D All in all it's been a pretty good day.
Just got the brakes to do at some point.
