Well, today wa rather an, err interesting day.
Me and dad decided to go greenlaning through the Wretham > Weeting route which always brings a grin to the face. We came across a nice bath so decided to treat both of them.

Anyway with those shinanigans out of the way we continued on our trail. Dad was leading and spotted what looked like a great alternative route to take. And he took it...
Needless to say, we didn't realise that this route was a bad idea. As soon as dads truck went in, it got stuck and started to sink down into the wet, boggy mud. So we tried all manner of ways to drive it out. To which none worked, even with all diffs locked - it was proper stuck. So we cracked out the emergency equipment and shackled the tow rope up to the rear of dads truck and the rear of mine. Surely this would do it.
Oh how wrong we was, the fucking shackle gave way and hurtled though the air, and guess where it decided to go....
Oh yeah, through the back of my window and onto the rear seats sending glass throughout the cabin and covered the dash in tiny cubes.
Nice.
So after the initial gormless look of disbelief, followed by laughter it was time to try and get that truck out.
We dug out behind the wheels and tried to back the truck out, but the tyres were just caked in mud and it was just slipping. Plan 'B' try again with the tow straps, this time though for protection I shored up a collapsable ladder to the back of my seat just incase the shackle was going to come off again... attempted a good few times but both trucks were just slipping in the mud.
So after that, managed to get the truck through the under growth to the front of dads, and managed to get some decent bite on the hard ground and pulled the truck free.
After that, we came back. and I spent the next two hours hoovering up all the glass from the cabin, the glass even made its way to the air vents! That was tricky to clean out.
Then removed the rear door capping to get it out from in there too. Luckly enough, my insurance covered the glass so
so that'll go onto the shopping list mate.
