Have done a bit more to the golf over the last week had the windscreen fitted so i could fit the sunstrip.

Image

wrapped the exhaust manifold forgot how nasty this job was.
Image

ordered a baffled sump from jabba sport which turned up next day
Image

painted up the gearbox went for 205 graphite grey repainted the engine

And then finally put the engine back in its home.

Very nice progress Mike.

The sunstrip looks well on there, and your MK2 with Trev's MK1 will look so sweet side by side. I bet you look back on this, once complete, with a swell of pride. It may be a humble Golf, but we all know just how fast these little 80's hatchbacks can be with love and attention

I feel a bit proud to have two UK versions of Berg Cup cars on this forum.

Thanks for the update
