It works on the same structure as an Open Pit Lane day but takes out the chance for very modified track/race type cars to attend.
Yes, i thought that would be the case. Just wanted to clarify it for everyone. No Caterham race cars etc then.

Just a thought but perhaps (hate to say this) sessioned track day would be preferable where there is a potential significant disparity in car handling/performance and driver capability rather than an open pit lane. Perhaps in reality unless you are targeting a specific sector you would still get the same mix of cars ability as we had on the 14th, we always welcome the opportunity to embarrass a Porker or caterham

I may have missed the point on both of these types of day but I'm really not sure i "get" it?

Under 25s - what possible difference does the age of the driver make? Surely it's track experience rather than age that should group drivers? Plenty of 23 year olds will be very experienced track drivers while plenty of 40 year olds wont be. I did my first TD at Cadwell when I was about 22 and there were nutters like david Yu flying around in his 700bhp GTR, all part of the fun....

Unmodified cars. I understand that some people might prefer to do a TD this way if they are novices but I really think you're limiting your market to people who aren't going to do very many. As Harry says, part of the fun of a TD is the variety of machinery and anyone who gets the bug will do a few mods to their car - brakes for example (esp if they have bmw M :D ) and be immediately excluded. Plus of course, seeing the mods that people make is inspirational.

Finally, will you be offering (maybe you already do) TDs where stock cars aren't allowed? Otherwise all this does is limit the MSV days available to anyone with a modded car.

Sorry if that sounded like a rant, believe me it wasn't, just think it's a bit odd

Firstly thank you for the feedback. I always like to hear what peoplereally think and not what they think we want to hear.

The under 25's day is really just for the young guys, it will eventually be (hopefully) in partnership with the local safety division. We wont be doing a lot of these events but as you have suggested I would like to see some open pit/sessions day on the 100 circuit at a similar price range as i think you are right and a range of cars make the day for those a bit more advanced than the under 25s specific day.

I'll add my two pennies worth .. be careful who you aim it at - we ran an autocross on behalf of the police at snetterton for one of their shows - it ended up with lots of terrible driving .. not on the track, but on the grass, the roadways and the car park !! .. I mean the boys who believe because they can play Forza and GT5 and can do a wheelspin automatically they are F1 drivers. I believe some of these individuals managed to crash into each other during the safety lap behind a safety car ... ! ...
