So gutted that Alan won't be able to use his trade mark crash helmet this year due to reg changes. So has had to buy a new lid.

If Alan can come up with a design for his lid we'll see what the costs will be.

It's frustrating as the overall spec of this engine when finished will be a 500+ bhp engine but we'll not run it that high for reliabilty. Due to our early on block failures the build plan was out of sequence. This resulted in things being over looked.
We were only going to be running around 350 - 370bhp this season and as such the head bolts would have been fine, but as with life circumstances changed and before we knew it we were running 390bhp and all excited. Then a spot of good luck meant we able to take the next step, this all happened within a couple of weeks so very little discussion had and.....wham!!! 435 bhp. In all the excitement the issue with the head bolts was forgotten and bang!!! it spat it's dummy out.

With just 3 days till the first round things are surprisingly calm here. We did take a weeks break from the car and all things to do with Time Attack.

Wet tyres bought and fitted
PAS cooler fitted
Undertray made
Bumper raised by about 2"
Rear brake pads changed
New TA stickers have arrived but not yet stuck on
Boost hoses cleaned, hairspray applied and new jubilee clamps fitted.

What can i say, but....

the new front bumper and undertray combination has really improved the front end of the car, they have eradicated the understear that we were sufferering previosly in the medium/fast corners.
