work on the old orange beast has begun again

finally got round to slapping the front splitter/undertray on

Image

also bought some rubber trim for the front edge, no final fix pics yet :)
but im pleased with how its come out

easter weekend will see me pulling the engine out of the ol thing
a new engine is sitting in the workshop waiting, just need to take a trip to norfolk to pick up a gearbox and a few bits

also splashed out for a new quaife steering rack which should help as the standard mk1 racks a like turning a tanker, so many turns but this is going to be reduced to 2.9 turns lock to lock

cant wait to try it all

Sounds good mate. 2.9 sounds like a lot though? What on Earth is the standard rack?

1.45 from straight to full lock is not bad stu , and the wheels do have quite a lot of lock/turn unlike the pulsar the lock on them is pathetic
anything has to be better than the standard lock, its shocking

Sorry, I didn't read that right Trev :( That should make a hell of a change........with that and the wand, you should be able to turn it at will now.

thats the plan
the wand is great but with oe rack you have very busy hands

cant wait to play again and with the added bonus of 2.0litres and hopefully a slick cable gear change
