As you will have seen, 4th Overall at the end of Stage 6 and hot on the heels of the WRC-spec cars ahead, Tony and Emma were really going strong.

Sadly, Stage 7 would see some of the rear diff bolts work their way out of the crownwheel and fire out the back of the casing, losing all the oil.

This eventually seized the pinion, and with Tony still mid-stage and at full chat, meant it's teeth were ripped apart and left the Evo front-wheel drive only.

Truely gutting to be going so well and retiring so early on the second day, especially with it being the final outing for the car.
