I thought the Cupra's had 312's and the R's larger brakes, at 323 mm

Hmmmmmmm
I thought that this Cupra had bigger brakes than stock and therefore you'd need to go careful size wise :? No idea buddy. I normally allow 50mm difference between the diameter of the brakes and the internal diameter of the alloy; even with that you'll be OK for space (312/400mm)
Ignore me :)

I've got a buyer for the ST wheels (if he shows), so all being well I'll have some new boots by the end of the week, and some Audi wheels to sell :)
I'll be ebaying the RFX next, as the predictable "If I only had the money" comments are wearing thin..........(Not here, elsewhere!)

Boys,
I've read and re-read the Cupra build thread, especially around the R suspension swap.
Did you attribute its 4x4 like qualities to anything in particular?
I had a small child limbo under it whilst parked in the street yesterday, and I've started developing a fear for heights when getting in and out.
I've designed a little something to make getting in a little easier.........

Seriously though, it's still amusingly lofty, so what do you reckon would be the best solution? (Other than these.........

Thanks Mike, hopefully the big fellow knows some details, otherwise I'll get some springs and see how it goes....

The Cupra R suspension sits 20mm lower than standard. If you fit lowering springs that are supposed to be for a Cupra R, this will lower it by another 20/25mm. Much lower than this and the driveshafts will knock on the ARB. IF you swap (here we go) front ARB for an aftermarket one (FK is the cheapest) they have a scallop shaped area that avoids the driveshaft, and you can therefore go lower :)
Make sense?
About 180 all in and you can go lower, but watch that sump!!!!

Got that Stu, but it still does nt make sense that it stands so tall.
If it's currently 50mm at the rear, and 55mm at the front gap between the tyres and arches, and the R sits 20mm lower than a Cupra..........
When I picked the spare up today (
