As per our text message ping-pong earlier, I have been speaking to the owner about that very car
Interesting eh? My only concerns with that is the rust to the rear valance as it sounds a bit, er, fucked and that it is a thirty year old shell/car. Would I be buying a hand grenade?

I'd looked at that one before but noticed the bolted in chair and small matter of it being SOLD
That aside it looked like a candidate.......I liked the hydro, I liked the welded diff and I naturally liked the paint job and price.
I'll continue looking. The right car will come up and the right car will be bought

Nice taste Jason I saw that one but think that 1) it will be too slow. According to the videos at Brands that I watched it only did a 1.07. The car that I am looking at will be a fair bit quicker. 2) then there's the price. It's over 2k now and it has four days to run. God knows where it will end up.
The car that my Brother linked too is the same one that Mike B emailed me about a while back and the same one that Trev and I have been musing over on FB. I have had numerous emails and photos back and forwards with the owner and I think it could be a goer. It has the right engine, good brakes, the right gearbox and several nice touches. Ripe for proper seats and a Berg Cup kit
The other one is a mk2 ABF with a proven 182bhp. Much more road spec but a good base @ 1400 Getting interesting now.

I have been really please by the response. I have been a bit of a prick tease in recent times with several threatened projects abandoned or sold off quickly. With the Berg Cup in May I will have my hands full but it's about time I was back out 'there', driving hard and having a laugh again.
The support I've had from several good mates has been great, and I'm looking forwards to walking the walk again (assuming I remember how to do it)

The install looks OK, the shell looks pretty tidy and 192hp in this shell means 180bhp per tonne before I do anything else. He's also using a shorter final drive which means acceleration will be much quicker. Not too sure about a welded diff for a circuit car but it should certainly be a giggle for everything else.
