I do kinda of feel embarassed that this is the 'build' thread when it's not really a build with my car, more a fix and more a pay Gary to fix thread but ... I'll update it anyway.

So one thing about car that for me was annoying was the constant 'crashing' over bumpy roads .. so off to APT and thanks to Gary and Danny my annoyance has left the building, all it was was a set of rather worn anti-rollbar bushes, I'll still have the boys fit my resplacement suspension as the originals are still on the car.

So yep, no more power than before, no big wheels, no lowering springs .. this must be the dullest update to date :)

Sometimes the day in day out fixes are the real world though mate. I know it's not exciting but it's still useful to someone who may be considering a mk4. Chuck some prices up so it gives others an idea of running costs.

Good call.

I am going to have Gary replace the front and rear shock, springs and associated joints.

Complete pre-assembled front structs, springs, protectors and top mounts =

So the process begins.

Wheels back from BA Wheels - superb job and great value - finished in Antracite.

I've also got some original (late model) centre's to replace the corroded tatty one.

Plus I've bought a replacement set of nut covers - found the originals boring so have gone to a slightly different type.

Car will be left with Chris @ H-tech on the 26th to begin repair and repaint. So photos to follow.

Toying with fitting either a set of FW's or JOM coilovers however I seem to now be insured with a rather mod unfriendly insurance company so the insurance hike is more than the cost of the coilovers!.. may have to do some maths on that one.

Nice work Ben. Can't wait to have mine done now !! Is that a burgundy GTR I spot in your second pic ? I used to know someone who had one of those. He traded it in because he was gay though.
