Would you get an Evo for that budget though Lee? My other choice is to save up more money and buy something nicer, but then that will mean missing another season and if I miss another one, I may well give up all together.

Food for thought rather than anything else.....
Slightly over budget CTR (It's never going to go wrong and a good starting point)

S2 Quattro (Can be found on detailing world forum= Imagine this with weight out of it)

ST170 (Brilliant chassis, weight savings to be had and the right power straight away)

190BHP 6 Speed Corolla (Left field, but again a good base for a reliable track daily?)

You are probably right lol.

They are a good car though. Light with good chassis. I built one to a hight spec a few years ago for a customer and it went very well. Most are auto/tip, but is a good box. Manual is a must though for track.

MGZS V6 is a performance bargain. Loads of torque and great handling as has the multi link rear end from Honda. Just the problem with the inlet manifold to look for.

my vote 325i I liked the estate e30 325 more than the vr6 but thats a fwd v rwd thing, vr6 hasn't missed a beat in 2/3 years! I don't know power to weight stuff but ep3 r's are getting cheap and accord r's seem ok.
