im sorry but doesnt the law state that if doing over 100mph its an
instant ban for 12months?

he only loses his licence for 9months and dont have to do a resit.

if that was one of us in our cars then it would be a different outcome for sure.

It's outrageous.
He won't have the defence of needing his licence to work, is unlikely to be able to say he has a clean record unless they are unrelated parking on zig zag type points, and went NOT GUILTY!!
FFS, although there are guidelines suggesting drivers doing 100+ should be banned unless theres good reason, this twat obviously played golf with the Judge.

I could only wish that I am so lucky should I ever got caught doing that speed. (The only time I'm likely to is just prior to take off on runway three at Stansted!)

No time for bragging I know but 147 is seriously peddling on the road. PDQ on a track, let alone the A64. Still, at least he has a suitable surname.

I always thought 100+ was an instant ban.........certainly was when I got zapped doing 102 or similar. Maybe they took into consideration his existing points and thought another 6 would ban him anyway; no idea.

I wasn't quite as bad, but got away lighter thanks to the circumstances. I've told the story before in person, but for the others. General idea, follow unmarked traffic car through 2 miles of pointless 30's and 40's on a main road, then proceed to blow them into a ditch when we get into the national speed limit. Hit the limiter in 4th before slowing, average of 97mph  3 points &

Good effort :) My attempt at local celebrity was recreating a red arrows display on the A12 with two of my colleagues. A red, white and blue Ford Sierra in each lane of the road doing over 100mph. How we didn't get done for racing is anyone's guess, but were we all banned in the good old days when you could elect to pay a higher fine for a shorter ban. I took two weeks off work and paid
