Window tinting recommendations

Post by Daniel »

Hi guys, just a quick one. Does anyone know/recommend a place that tints windows? I have the OE rear tinted side windows on the Pajero, but the back is totally clear like the fronts. Want to get that tinted the same grade to get the rear end to match in. :)

Cheers.

Any other time I'd say don't bother trying it yourself as it's a pig of a job but with the rear window of the Pajero being totally flat I'd agree try it yourself.

Dan if you DIY it then make sure the window is spotless clean it thoroughly and then again !

Apply the film with a warm soapy water and then use a squeegy to push all the water and air bubbles out don't worry about there being mall bubbles in it as it drys thats normal and aslong as it drys properly these will dissappear as the film pulls tight.
Hope fully it will work for you without looking like crazy paving......

One word of warning though.......if it all goes horribly wrong and you want to get it off again I hope you haven't got a heated rear window, as when you remove the film the chances are you will knacker that too.......

good advice, soak both sides of the film with soapy water and of course if you can remove the window first it'll make the job so much easier and tidier round the edges.
