FAO John, Soarer question.

Post by Daniel »

John, just a quick one mate. (Also open to anyone else that knows about Soarers) I can't remember the answer to this, but am I right in thinking that you changed the gearbox yourself to a R154? Also only if you know, what sort of price range would I be looking at to to the total conversion? I'm sure all that's needed are;

Gearbox
Mounts
Linkages
Slave and master cylinder
Clutch lines
Clutch pedal
Clutch assembly
Flywheel

Cheers.

I don't think John changed his gearbox, he isn't that technical :)

i am doing this at the moment. i have sourced most of my parts from driftmotion in states. gearbox pedal mastercylinder etc came from a mk3 supra turbo.
you will also need a r154 - 1jz bell housing.

it can be done with a w58 box but takes less power than the r154
