Old style cert noted if an advisors sheet had been issued. Looks very poor back of a fagpacket would be of a higher standard. More generally this change is more far reaching than I assumed it would be, it makes no account of the differences in car ownership across the EU so Harmonisation is just another word for Berlin Directive.
What is quite disturbing is the potential impact on used car residuals that have lots of toys but a heftier cost when buying with warranted purchases.
It is also unusual in that most changes to regulation and legislation is not retrospective this feels very much like it actually is retrospective
Perhaps some of you MOT Testers can give your take on what it all means particularly to imported or modified cars and what we need to do to be compliant
