1996 Mitsubishi Pajero

Post by Daniel »

Well I have finally bought myself a little Pajero. :) after much hunting around (and sifting through some right piles of shit) finally managed bought a nice mid production SWB from a dealership. :nod:

Now it's a SWB and as some know i ideally wanted a LWB version. However the dealership as kindly left and open offer for me, should they get a LWB in stock i am more then welcome to go look at it and if i like it, i can do a straight swap for it. :nod: so thats a result, however i really like this little fella. Needs a name :)

So a couple of really crap photos for you;

So the rough outline of it;

1996 white/silver and black SWB pajero. 2.8 tdi with oem 2" lift over standard. Its known as a winter pack so it has lots of toys, thicker insulation. 5 New Yokohama a/t tyres and oem wheels. Twin hella spots up front with a nice thick nudge bar. Pretty much immaculate interior. Has the awesome super select system on it so you can change from 2wd to 4wd whilst driving. Has all locking diffs function. And has a hell of alot of poke :D I finally own a boosted vehicle :sifone:

More (better) photos will follow when i have a chance to take them. Really needs a wash and a magic tree bunging in the cabin. Apart from that, all ready to go monging about offroad!

Looks a nice clean example Dan. Not very often you see them in white.

Dan, can you keep an eye on mpg when you fill up? (Assuming you run it in two wheel drive)

Cheers guys, really am chuffed with it. Have a few minor 'points' to deal with and we'll be ready to rock and roll :thumbs: and i already have some plans lined up for it, none of this leave it standard nonsense. Will keep an eye on the MPG for you Stu, i can safely say so far that it's better than the Supra ;)

Spent today giving the whole body a t-cut + polish, a thorough valet inside and out and de-stickering it I can now get ready to have some fun. :) So chuffed with it, the bodywork is in amazing condition. The interior likewise in amazing condition. All of the electrics work, even the headlight washer jets which I found amusing. :D
So some photos;

Have ordered some service parts (rocker box gasket and half moon gaskets have gone) and some bolt on goodies ;)

So, this is what I have planned for it;
fit go pro mount to roof (done)
underseal all arches
inspect brakes (just to make sure there's enough meat)
either respray and lacquer the alloys in satin black or replace with modular steels :nod:
fit black wind deflectors (on order)
fit snorkel (on order)
fit roof bar with oblong lamps (bidding)
white letter paint the tyres (I know, I know :o )
CB radio.

And that's about it for now. Already have a few routes maked out on the OS maps. One of which being 65 miles long :sifone: So hopefully will have a bash at those pretty soon. :driving:
