Not sure about the turrets probably just centre tunnel to main hoop.
As for weight it was 915 kilos at snett with 1/4 tank of feul should hopefully get it just under 900 which would be nice.
Engine power as you know on the dyno was 193 bhp but don,t know how true that is
but it does go well.

clever idea though
I used 4mm perspex which to be honest is a bit thick and weighty but went this thick because on the doors ive removed all the metal work and this gives them a bit of rigitity back,
As for shaping the surface is flat to fix them to and there are no real shapes in the golf to form round .

Excuse my laziness as I haven't searched the thread to look for myself!
What thickness are your front and rear anti-roll bars? Many of the ones I've been looking at (Eibach and H&R etc) and they all seem to be thicker front end than rear........exactly the opposite of what the lads that run these things on track!
Thicker at the front should promote understeer I would have thought, but more to the point, how do you get on with yours?

Well saturday was a another busy day finishing stripping the golf and building these.

picked these up from a guy in hinxworth who advertises on ebay self build or as you have to self weld. Took about 2 1/2 hours to build

Then it was on to the car which now looks like this.
now just ready to hook up on the spit and start the hard job
