Well what can I say ? I am a big fan of the Festival of Speed but the revival is somthing else completely.......Fantastic weekend ! For anyone who has never been before ! Go ! It's a must !!!!!

The moment you walk towards the entrance.....you are confronted with hundreds and hundreds of fantastic classic cars that have traveled from all over the world and these just belong to visitors of the Revival....you could spend a day just looking at these wonderful cars.......then you walk though a vintage fairground and trade market with lots of fantastic stalls selling all sorts of goodies ......
In the background all you can hear is the roar of vintage racing cars warming up......what a noise !
Got through the entrance and couldn't believe what I was seeing ! It truely was like stepping back in time nearly everyone was dressed in period clothing from the 40's to the 60's and what a fantastic site it was too......

The attention to detail was remarkable.....most of the food and drink outlets were period style etc.....shame the prices weren't though !

The Racing was awesome the smell of the racing fuel and tyre's smoking was truely amazing...

A flight of 10 Spitfires on sunday was also a sight and sound never to forget......I will post some pictures up later.....but for now all I can say is look out for the Revival on TV it will probably be on this coming weekend after the GP.......

I have already booked my accomodation for next year and cannot wait for it again.....

Another bonus was a friend of mine was also racing his lovely Jaguar MK2 along with John Cleland stunning car and stunning grid.....

Seriously guys and gals This really is one to visit !!!!!

Totally Agree - told you you'd love it!! Personally I think it's a million times better than the FoS.

I has a great time too for all the reasons mentioned above, it's jsut such an amazing atmosphere and soooo much to see, do, buy etc :)

As for the racing, it's awesome, proper cars being driven by proper drivers - and hard, no holding back just becasue it's worth over a million quid!!

where you staying next year John? I was in the Travel Lodge at Gun Wharf Quays in portsmouth which worked out really well this year. Not sure for next year yet....

I take it you mean Peter Burton, my partners uncle. How did he get on, was looking for footage on youtube but there is so much and its not great footage.

He was down at Snetterton the week previous shaking the MK2 down, that is a stunning car! We were going to go with John his brother and his Etype but he didn't get selected this year sadly so its off to Malta for the grand prix there in a few weeks instead.

Goodwood is a fantastic event, definately going next year. This is the first year ive missed and am gutted.
