Who on here shoots?

As title really

I'm sure Mr.Fletcher does rifle shooting, who else on here does? Also what gun clubs are there around in east anglia?

Since archery is a bit of a non starter i'm thinking about target shooting instead.

Your local police firearms licensing officer would be a good start.
There'll be loads in your area, I know there's loads in Essex (Or you can pop down to Ilford and just do it in the street)

If you started with a good air rifle at 12flbs it will save a shit load of paper work and get you started . If you thought cars where an expensive hobby ....
