Right, 2nd evening on the car......new heater matrix in, dash bits almost back together, then steering wheel back on. Wont get any time tomorrow but sat morning.

Then ready for a fire up whilst crossing all fingers at the weekend where I can actually have a good look at the bumper.

Still haven't forgiven Mazda for putting the heater matrix behind the centre of the dashboard :(

Right then chaps, update time........ heater matrix is done. Had fun putting it all back together....not. Needless to say it all went back together and the gearbox was grinding and the oil temp gauge wasn't either. So the next morning I took apart the console with the clocks in, checked all the gauge wiring and it looked ok. Also topped up the gearbox oil to the full level and put that back in. Put it all back together and....nope :( Needless to say we took it out for a quick spin and the gauge then halfway into the journey started working but bouncing. After getting home I left the car and took it out again and since then (touch wood) its been working fine !! No leaks also from the heater matrix so thats cool !! I will do a coolant change soon though just to be on the safe side.

Fitted the ganador mirrors but not particularly pleased as there is a few mill gap on the vertical bit so I need some proper looking M5 nuts, a decent tiny spanner and some double sided sticky tape to sort that. But not a big job. they do look awesome though. After a nice good wash and polish the car looks ace. Just need the bigger map numberplate.

So now some crappy iPhone pics......

I will get some better ones when I go out at the weekend in it. Was weird walking back to it though, looks totally different with the front !!

Trev, the summer bonnet is in the garage because the car was left outside and it has been chucking it down with rain. As it's back in the garage I will fit it at the weekend hopefully it won't put a downer on the weather.

Dan, sadly the numberplate mount is moulded so it won't do a tilting one I don't think.

Thanks for the comments though guys.

The Rex is realy looking good Gareth!
Its such a shame that we brits have to have front number plates spoiling the fronts of our cars.:( The darn things are huge and i think can detract from the curvaseous front ends of the rex and Dans supra.

Really, really nice Gareth
Eye spy Em hiding in the car on one photo......I bet she was all self concious as you snapped away with your camera :) I love the Ganadors, always have and always will. I have some double sided foam tape if you need some mate. That should do the job nicely.

With the vented bonnet it will look stunning. It looks stunning now, so you can't go wring either way! :D Dan's Newera style folding plate looks interesting too........
