MLR Sprint Series, Rd 4: Ingliston, Edinburgh 23rd July

Post by Danny@APT »

Yeah that's right, we're off to Bonny Scotland at 9am on Friday!

Due to the 8-9 hour journey time, we've decided to leave the APT van and share the driving with Logan towing his Evo. I say "we"... my crappy modern license means I can't have a stint driving, so Gary and Logan will be doing all the work.

The Sprint will be taking place this Saturday from 9:30 onwards and the live timing will be here- http://www.lancerregister.com/sprint_results.php

The course will be as below-

I'll skip commenting on the details of the 8 hour drive up to Scotland, but all I'll say is Edinburgh looks fantasic in mid-Summer from the back seat of a Nissan Navara! :D

When we finally rocked-up to the Travelodge beside the airport, we were greeted by the sight of three other MLR member's cars already there and a large advert in reception proclaiming 5 Peroni's for

Nice write up Danny.

Another great result Logan. You really seem to be getting to grips with the 7 :)

Nice write up, result, weather and report. I can see Logan still has a shoddy sense in footwear ;)

Cheers guys, hopefully Logan can get the Vbox data and we'll copy the comparison graphs over from the other Podium finishers from the MLR.

One day we'll be organised enough to stick a camera to the front of Logan's car! :D

Getting there with mine, worked out how to add a start and end line, so just need to do this so I can overlay graphs. Its complicated as i have to edit all the bits getting to the startline.

Some serious time can be made in the launches tho, ie, one launch where I musst of got wheel spin is 3.2 secs 0-50mph, whereas on another its 2.46 secs!!! crikey!!

Yup, thats what I thought!!

That was on 1.8bar boost.

Max lateral G is 1.29. Accel G is 1.19

Geeky but kinda cool!
