Interesting to see (Right at the start going through Barn on my warm up lap) in A2on`s video above how fuel surge on my Subaru throws the car off line and causes tyre squeal as the engine cuts out followed a fraction late by a loud pop when the fuel supply to the engine resumes.

I hadn't appreciated just how unsettled the car becomes when this happens

I can see from the videos that you accellerate with your thumbs on the ring inside the wheel but i can't work out how the brake is operated. I know i'm a bit thick:blush5:

Hi mate,

Yeah the accelerator is the ring on the wheel which operates a motor to open the throttle. The brakes are just a lever on the right of the steering wheel just out of sight which connects directly to the brake pedal. Simple but effective, the downside is very often I am driving with one hand on the wheel, and when I'm changing gear sometimes no hands on the wheel. Luckily I only change gear in two places on cadwell, 3rd to 2nd for engine braking when approaching the mountain, and 2nd to 3rd afterwards, the rest of the time I left the autobox do it's thing.
