According to the last post date it is over a year since i appear to have done any mods on the car .
Having booked the recent trackday at snetterton the only thing other than an oil change that needed addressing where the brakes .These have been giving me problem's for a number of trackdays ,in standard form and with the subsiquent upgrade to tne K sports . The common denominator being the ferrodo brake pads i have been using ,now i am not slagging them off but they appear not to suit my driving style,i suffered with pad deposits on the discs which basicly results in the car being almost undrivable in the braking zone when the brakes get warm. I have tried various means of pad removel but have been unsuccesful in my attempts ,until now..
I happen to spot a van in the village advertising a mobile disc skimming service so a quick call and an appointment was made .
The guy who came out seemed very knowledgable and procceded to attach a machine to the hub and skim my discs in situ on the car . The results where excellent I finally had brakes I could start to lean on consistently each time without any issues of shaking. It will probably take me another trackday to finally get to know their full potential .
