Love shiny new turbos!
Lets hope it lasts longer than turbos normally do with you two!

We are in total agreement on that subject:thumbs:Rob S wrote:PMSL, Have you told the Bart-meister that?
Yes that is the target, but it depends on how much psi we'll need. I'm probably being over cautious but i want over-kill on the side of safety, and not 'it should be ok'.russ979 wrote:Yumm! Shiny new turbo!:drool5:
Will you guys be hoping to head north of 400hp after the re-map? Or is it all top secret until its done?;)
Sadly we have to, as we are going back to an external wastegate:frown: The 'Dove from above' will be recorded for future giggles:smilielol5:Tonynos wrote:I hope you're not changing the waste gate guys. It wouldn't be the same without the dove from above
I was talking to Alan a while back about the time we first cracked 200bhp with Herbie and how excited and proud we were. Yet here we are now looking to crack 400bhp. Don't get me wrong it still puts a smile on my face thinking about it and i'll be jumping for joy when it happens.
But I find myself going over and over my calculations for power to weight and worrying about the weight of the car. Have i got it right and have i spec'd the car so that Alan can be competetive.
In the 2 years that we competed with Herbie Alan never once complained that the car was too slow (even though to be honest it was and to heavy). He just wants to be out there, fighting at the sharp end. That's the dream, the bhp numbers, from Alan's point of view, are nothing more than a tool. Yes we'll jump for joy like kids at christmas if we get 400, but we'll jump for joy like lottery winners if Alan gets a podium.

Things are feeling a little too calm here at team TnT. Although i should say that plans are a bit backwards as you would say:o
This week so far i have been cleaning the car and by the weekend will have polished it 3 times:redface: and tomorrow i've got a mate coming round to clean the engine bay for us.....He's into the show and shine stuff...
Then after it's all nice and clean Alan gets the car next week to change the turbo and injectors:thumbs:
Yea i know it's all backwards but what ya gonna do...have to work with with what we have:leaving:
