Ah..................that's better :D
I had hoped that we would start to see some more updates and logged in to find this. I see that the weight of this subframe is 18kgs; how much is a stock one?

Hearing the excitement in Gary's voice on the 'phone tonight, I wonder how long before the 7 will be used in anger again?

Logan keeps wanting to weigh the bits he's removed from his Sprint car, so when we find some scales we'll find out. ;)

A year on from Ten Of The Best 2010, and the infamous quarter mile launch which caused the gearbox layshaft to say hello to the clutch, it looks like the first outing for the Evo (as part of the MLR Team) will be TOTB 2011!

So, lastminute.com modifications are go! :smash:

After witnessing a minor crash at the MLR Castle Combe, in which the drivers side corner was damaged and the oil cooler torn-off, Gary began to get concerned about the location of the dry sump oil reservoir tank (in that same front corner) and the potential ease in which it could get wrecked. Aside from that, Evo

Nice! How do you expect the evo to do at TOTB this year? Fairly confident?

Nice work :) Reminded me of the Accusump oil pipes on the GTR :) I really like the rear brace shown in the first interior shot....very nice again! When is TOTB?

By the way, will the cable ties be OK with the heat off of the exhaust?

Gary did a 10 sec quarter and 160+ top speed last year with the gearbox looking like this, so hopefully it will be faster still-

TOTB is July 31st this year- same day as one of the Time Attack rounds (such is the mutual respect between the organisers of both events ).

Hopefully the cable ties are far enough away from the exhaust for any heat to not be a problem. Depends how crazy Gary gets with the anti-lag, haha!

and, after-

Brake fluid changed, oil tank bolted-down and filled with over 12 litres of Motul's finest, oil pump primed and battery reconnected... a quick turn of the key... and the Evo burst into life for the first time in months. :D

Wheel alignment needs sorting, but Gary had a play with the corner weights to even things out-
