Rain. So much rain.

The day started the night before with texts backwards and forwards between BigFil, Dan and myself trying to work out whether we would need canoes for the Saturday or not. I had agreed to get the low down from Phil as he was already at the Pod and then let Dan know, save wasting money on petrol and time just incase the organisers called it off if the weather got THAT bad.

More texts this morning and at about 8am we decided on making the trip to Northamptonshire to see Phil, Mark and anyone else with obscene levels of power and the attitude to deploy every single horsepower at will :D

Dan collected me in his rather fine Supra (more details on the car and my thoughts here http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/showthr ... 783&page=2 ) and we made steady progress towards the village of Podington. Less than two hours later later we trundled into the desolate airfield and industrial areas that line the driveway up to the drag strip.

As always a top write up mate. Sorry for the waffle earlier, But thanks for helping me make my mind up. I spent all morning paceing up and down looking at the sky, mulling do i go? or not? So the car is washed and ready for tommorrow morning instead.;)

Is anybody else going to japfest tommorrow?

Japfest is Castle Combe Russ or are you hoping for better weather at that one? :D

Glad to help earlier. It can only get better after today, just watch out for the queues.

Great write up Stu, was in hindsight it was actually a good day despite the weather. Was good to see Phil and Jo again, and see some new people  and those turbos... just incredible! comical proportions packing such awesome power! :) oh and i was so chuffed at seeing the genuine Nagata TS skyline :D

Hope all that are going tomorrow have a great day!

Jap show was great yesterday, no rain all day. I was there with Beds and Bucks Scoobys.
