Saturday

Rushed home from work as we were due to head over to Gordon's first thing. Once Alan arrived he told me that Gordon had text him to tell us to call him at 10 as he was working on Terry's car as Terry was trying hoping to break into the 9's. So we sat around till 10 then called him but he was having problems and said he would ring us.
We eventually got to Gordon's at 3.30 and he and Alan set about doing the jobs to the car. Once done the only thing left to do was a power run to see how the turbo was holding up. In April she made 332 bhp. At the same boost pressure this time she made 297 bhp. The turbo was defo' on it's last legs....Great we thought another shit weekend.

Sunday

Arrived at the pod nice and early to give the car a clean, once that was done it was time to sign on and have a chat with Gordon, Terry, Tom (qcstom) and a few others.

Run 1. Alan had a decent enough launch – 13.3

Run 2. Better launch, missed 2nd gear - 14 (correct me if i'm wrong here Alan)

Run 3. Not too good a 60ft - 13.8

Run 4. Woke up fir this one - 13.2

Happy...hell yes.....

About an hour later whilst waiting for the traffic to die down Alan noticed oil on the floor under the car...Oh shit...We tried ringing Gordon but his phone was out of single, so i ran to the other side of the parking area only to find that he had left, but Terry offered us the use of his tools.....

I then ran back to the car and Alan to be greeted by a calmer looking Alan. Turned out the oil had come out of the catch can.....Relief..

With a tired turbo and only 297 bhp we achived a 13.2, so we are very happy with that. New turbo will be fitted before the cars next outing. A proper one

Also forgot to mention Terry got a 10.08.

A tremendous result given your power figures; goes to show what you can do with good grip and a lightweight shell :)
