Thinking out loud....
I think the 306 (99-on facelift) is a good looking car so much better than the 307-8. whats with the ugly golf club style wing mirrors poking out the door tops on a 308? Anyway back to subject, 306`s resist the tin worm very well but the interior is made out of the most shocking plastics known to man! I had a 2000 reg hdi with 64k miles on it and just could nt get on with the crap build quality.
How about these Rob?

That 323 is nice, decent little for the money.
I'll bear them in mind mate, I take it the reliability is similar to the bigger 6?
If I sell mine first, then I can easily run to that, if not.........
I'm looking at a few cars this weekend, it should be interesting as the Mrs is at work and I'm with my little boy, I'll probably end up with a bright red two seater that I can't really afford!

All mazda`s (piston type;)) should be boringly reliable if mantained correctly.
