Sierra 2.0 GLS

Post by Rob S »

Hi guys, a change in circumstances means the old girl will be going.
SPEC :
1993cc Pinto Injection , 205 block , ie the one the tuners want :th:
Power windows
PAS
Sun roof
Central locking
Original stereo
Intact parcel shelf
STANDARD car!
Hub Caps even :D
The car has a FULL history, having been owned by an elderly lady from new till a couple of years ago. Then a collector bought it, kept it for about 2 years before selling it to me. I bought it with 31k on the clock, this being backed up by a wad of bills and MOT's. I have driven it daily taking it up to 44k.
To describe the car as very good condition would be about right, it's 24 years old next week, so it's got the odd knock and scratch as you'd expect.
Since I've had it, I've replaced the heater matrix as the old one was clogged. I've upgraded (using proper parts) the car to power steering, and boy is it better for it.
I've replaced the brake master cylinder due to a small leak.
I've replaced the throttle body and throttle cable due to the connection between the two snapping. (For

Rob this is very sad that the sierra has to go. But i have to aggree that its the right thing to do. It is such a wonderful example that i hope it is snapped up by another collector? It is such a prime example that one day i would hope that when the sierra is a bonified classic this one is still around to hold its head up at the top of the pile? I would gladly snap it up in a flash if only i had a special place to moth ball it ensuring its future status.
Good luck mate, you will miss it when its gone!:(

Kind words mate, I hope it finds a good home, but I'm in the same situation as you, if I had somewhere to store it, I'd probably be keeping it too.
Time will tell, if it does nt go, I'll be stuck with it (Not to bad, I'll still like it after all said and done)

I also have a V6 turbo lump sitting here as well :) Pete's old one.............sitting there, turning to rust!

The offer is there if you want it mate. Ben's idea sounds good; I thought TDi's were loads more than that.
