I have started to write something three times, but the amount of detail I had prepared was daft! So before any of you guys lose interest here's some bullet points.

-Average B&B but mega Chinese buffet in Folkestone. Strange people were on the table next to us but that didn't put us off eating the most unreal quantities of food!

-We left early the following morning; no breakfast in the UK (due to being stuffed) so we stopped in France for a quick coffee, pastry and sundries ready for our charge through France and Belgium and into Luxembourg.

-Luxembourg; a wonderful country or what we saw of it. Food was excellent. Food was cheap, as was diesel and accommodation. The scenery was 'knock the taste out of your mouth' stunning and overall I really can say very little of the trip that was anything less than truly first class.

The whole village was consumed with top level race cars parked everywhere! In peoples drives, in side turnings and on the main streets. It was like a carnival atmosphere with homeowners giving drivers access to their electricity and other amenities; it is simply unlike anything that I have seen.

Not all of the cars running were the sorts of things that you'd expect to see in middle Europe, like this 4 wheel drive Suzuki Swift.

How about this hardcore Lotus?

The noise was quite unlike anything that I had heard.

These guys had a mini partition around their van using magnesium BBS alloys! Mind you their support lorry was probably worth around 100k as it had a full sponsors area on top of it and a fully equipped workshop on it!

I got a bit light headed at this point, so I went back to the Judd Merc for more thigh rubbing!

If you think that I am going overboard with my appreciation for this car, bear in mind a few things
1) It stuffed loads and loads of group C 'prototype' style sports cars by around 5 seconds!
2) It sounds like God's own race car
3) I was there and you weren't, so STFU :D

I make no apologies at all for the next car being obsessively photographed. This car was built to a crazy standard, and happened to go up the hill just about quicker than everything else. 1'01" was quicker than loads of the single seaters!

More mk1 homage; another carbon panelled, sequential boxed flying machine.

The more we walked around, the more it became clear that cars were still turning up, and quicker than we could walk around and see them all!!

Guys, I am about a third of my way through the report and photo's. I hope that will keep you ticking over for now :)
