Apt Dyno day 10th April
Thanks for the comments guys- glad the weather was perfect and the day was enjoyed by all.
Unfortunately no, the Sales Manager got wind of Jay's (good) intentions of demonstrating the TwinAir's power and sent a text saying "don't you dare". Stupid considering it's probably driven harder by customer's, and without the added safety of monitoring the engine's fuelling/boost during a run.
Hopefully he'll convince them and get permission next time. I've still got a Fiat itch that needs scratching.

Finishing off the Ford

I was lucky enough to drive the 500, bloody brilliant sums it up.
Quite how such a small engine can develop so much torque is a mystery, but it is genuinely, honestly a revolution.
If finances permit once I've moved, we'll be having serious conversations with Jay about this.
On a darker note, that means I came last on the day
What a shocker!!

Rob, Thanks for the seemingly genuine comments. The whole idea of bringing the car down was to try and change peoples views on running such a tiny engine in a day to day car. I know its not going to be to everyones taste but i just wanted to see some pleasantly surprised faces. I would have loved to take everyone for a jolly just to show it off. Its not a sales tactic nor am i trying to talk people into buying one It would just be nice to see people recognise the mahoosive changes within Fiat group. I honestly believ that this is one of the technologicaly best engines on the market today if only people would give it a go. Thanks also to Gary for offering to run it on the hallowed turf that is APT Just a shame the bosses seem to see it as a pointless excersise.
