This was part of my day yesterday at Castle Combe. It was my first full day with this driver and he was (is) competing in a Sprint Competition today at Castle Combe.
The car is a bit of a monster, dyno'd at 300bhp with a Honda Type-R Supercharged Engine and just over 800kgs (without driver/pax)
The spins although spectacular were not really too much of a problem as they were after the apex coming out of the corner and as long as the driver dips the clutch and brakes you will just spin down the track.
I did a bit of analysis of them as well including showing vertical acceleration (i.e. bumps on circuit) which are greater than 1g in many places. We also got come external footage from a car we were following on the 2nd spin (83mph @ Old Paddock).

It was a very successful day with the driver setting a best of 1:17.5 later in the day and his previous best was a 1:22.7. I'm just waiting now to hear how he got on in the sprint.
Any other Combe Sprinters on here ?

Couple of Hi-Speed Spins in 300bhp Elise @ Castle Combe.
He was 0.6 slower in the 3 lap 'warmup' and a 1.0 slower in the sprint itself. To be expected to a degree as the Sprint is from a standing start 1 and 3/4 laps on cold tyresm so the tyres won't be anywhere near up to temperature. Certainly moved up the finishing order but the 'class' is extremely wide, won by a full track spec lightweight special Noble 9 secs quicker.
I've uploaded another video which inclused his 1:17.5 lap, also a demo lap I did with him as passenger also of 1:17.5.
Thing to notice is we are both 7-8 mph quicker at the points where the earlier spins had occured with no bother. He still grips the wheel too hard (you can see this easily in the video) but was much better.
