Anyone going to this? We should be there in a stripped out 1.6 205 as long as it works!! Although ill be taking my Rex as well.
Any tips for the new track (300)? I am fairly well versed on the old one but havent been to this yet.
Snetterton open pit - March 29th
Hi Chris,
The new circuit is something quite special and a real challenge, no matter how familiar you are with the old track (I stopped counting when I got passed 5000 in 2006
)
Coram is a tough, extended corner that may create issues with oil surge, lift off oversteer for the approach to Russell's and getting your wing mirrors down if your car is not stiff!!
Riches will now be much faster, so watch your entry speed. Also, when you turn into Riches and aim for the second/late apex go careful. Where you used to have run off on the inside, you now have Armco! (and lots of it)
Sears/Montreal is now a gorgeous cambered hairpin that leads onto the new infield section. One phrase to bear in mind with the entire infield section...."Take it easy" There are so many things to take on board and so many solid things to hit, if you can do a few laps and get the rhythm right, it all flows so beautifully.
Faster entry speeds are expected on to the back straight, The Esses are the same, so to is The Bombhole and then we're back to Coram.
Have fun and let us know how you get on. I won't be there again until the 14th of April at the earliest.
