Not alot of chance of me getting any of those at the moment mate. I have to get the rear arches done before the tinworm starts eating me alive when I walk past the car :D The Brembos will have to do their job for now.
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D

When we first entered Time Attack our goal was to be in the top 10, our dream was to win:rofl:. This has not changed and our drive and committment is as strong as ever. 2011 was to be our test year to gauge roughly where we are against the competition and work out what we needed to do. Then in 2012 we hope to be in a position to fight for the title or at least get Alan on the podium.

First we need to take care of our sponsors and those that have helped us, so this year the plan is to attend alot more Ford events to promote the car and Gordon. Whilst doing this we will also be raising the profile of Caparo AP Brakes. Everywhere the car goes this year, some form of team clothing will be worn with the BigPower name on, again to promote the club. At every event that we attend we will also be aiming to spread the name of BigPower.

We are very aware that we could not have got this far without the help and support of a lot of people......

well been up streetracers today to find out what was wrong with the car
and there were a few ideas we had 1 being that as well as the fuel
pressure regulator being screewed we thort the injectors might be shot
but after quick test they were fine and working normally so we were
scratching our heads to how the fuel was getting into the engine on its
own and then,
i had a TOTAL :bart:moment (being a knob pays off sometimes:D), picked up
the broken fuel regulator and blew down the pipe and got a face splashing
of fuel from the vaccum pipe then gordon siad thats the cause of the fuel
in the engine and inlet manifold.
here is a picture to ilistrate
Image

red circil fuel preasure vaccum pipe
down the blue line into the inlet manifold
and was spraying straight into bore number 2 filling it up.

we drained the oil and the sump was holding 15ltrs of oil and fuel, the oil
capacity of this engine is 4.5ltrs.

we tried to start the car to no avail and after a little time we realised the
tank was empty, bear in mind when we dropped the car off at caparo it
had 30ltrs of fuel in it.

gordon is going to put some fuel in it on monday and see how the old girl is.

So where did all of the fuel go and where did all of the extra oil come from?

there was about 10.5ltrs of fuel mixed with the oil in the sump mate.
the inlet manifold was full theres about 3ltrs.
bores had fuel in them.
plus the fuel that was bleeding out at caparo that were sore about
8ltrs never mind what came out when they were trying to start the car
themselves, so thats how the tank became empty mate lost about

the car is now back up and running:party:

1 job we didnt do last week that we should have done was check intercooler
for any fuel in there and after trying to start the car realised it was being starved
of air took intercooler pipe off to throatal body, car started and the fuel absolutely
pi55ed out of it must been about 5-6ltrs in there so spent time emptying
that out and all is good now so its a call to caparo to come and test the brakes.

Now that the car is working again Gordon has said we might as well leave it there as there are a couple of jobs that he wants to do to it. Alan pointed out that we need to take it for it's mot. So Gordon suggested we collect it in the morning of the mot take it and then bring it back to him..........I think he's just trying to stop Alan from breaking it :smilielol5:

I think we should change Alan's name to (Bart Damien). He only has to think about driving a car and it empties itself of all fluid:smilielol5:

Caparo have been over to Gordons to carry out the first road of the brakes, as we were not allowed to drive the car until they had tested them, as it's a new design.......All good:D

Next week Alan will be taking the car for it's MOT, then the gearbox will be coming out as it's had a slight whine since we fitted it so Gordon wants to check it over. Whilst the gearbox is out we'll be sending the alternator off to be reconditioned as it's overcharging.

A couple of other jobs will be done whilst the car is there in preparation for RS Regional day at santa pod.
