full story.
right yesterday had a email from paul saying they carnt get the car
started at all so i sent him a list of options to sort it out. about half hour
later paul called me saying that it still wont start to which i replyed we'll
sort it tomorrow when we got over there.
left pauls house in my GT and id got about 400meters down the road and
car jurked and cut out so put it into nutral started car and tried to put it
into 1st, wouldnt go in so tried 2nd again wouldnt go in so pushed car
round corner out the way and with engine off the gears would slot in so
started car and tried again to no avail so turned it of put it in 1st bumped
the car with starter motor and drove back to pauls in 1st gear. so had to
jump in pauls car to caparo

after looking at the brakes i looked under the bonnet and smelt fuel and
put my hand under the throtal body to which there was fuel on it so we
pushed it out the unit into fresh air, with extinguisher to hand i asked paul
to prime the ignition and fuel came out of the fuel regulator which has
turned out to be a split dyifram, however i asked paul to turn car off
which he did BUT the fuel was till being pumped into the fuel rail so asked
one the guys who was with us to get me a 10mm spanner to undo the
battery by the time he had got back the bores, inlet and outlet manifolds,
turbo and wastegate were full of fuil and it was leaking out he the
screamer pipe on to the floor and that was about 4ltrs.

so we had to call the RAC our and that was a farce to say the least and this was the end result of our morning

when the RAC picked the car up we gave him the address of streetracers
for it to be dropped of so gordon can look and sort out the problem and
over the phone he was not to sure what had happened as car was fine
when we dropped it off. hopefully gordon is working on it now and will give
me a call later with a update.

needless to say we are not happy with what has happened and im more pi55ed of becuase i dont have a car as its stuck at bloody pauls house with god knows whats broken.

Cliches seem to run out of meaning at times like this. Very best of luck with the resolution. At least you guys have each other, Gordon and Wayne on board to help.

Brakes look epic by the way ;)

FFS guys, nothing ever goes smoothly for you does it?
Hope it's something straight forward and not something inherent with the build/spec.

what Alan forgot to mention about yesterday was that I got home from work at 6.30am and was with him in his car when it broke. He then sent me running home to get my car. As i got back to him he got his car moving. After we left Caparo I then had to drop Alan to work, he drove i dozed, then i had to drive back home and finally got to bed just as my alarm was going off for me to get up.

And he wonders where my hair has gone:willy_nilly:

Spoke to Alan last night and he told me that he and Wayne are coming over Friday to hopefully fix his car. I will get some sleep this week..... i will:nod:
