newbie saying Hi!!

Post by gazmk2 »

Hello!!

My Name is Gary and i'm in Huntingdon, Cambs. had a few jap cars over the years and a lot of mk2 golf gti's!!

Here is my current whip;

Had this a few months but only just got it presentable!!
brief spec;
1991 toyota soarer
2.5L straight 6 twin turbo (1jz-gte)
287bhp, 300lb/ft
rwd with lsd (AO1B transmission code)
'leccy everything
lcd dash
cruise/climate and stuff
awsome 7 speaker "active" factory sound system
only mods so far have been a blitz ss bov, a trd panel filter and a hks 3" decat pipe. standard boost is 9psi, mine now boosts at 11.5 so should be around the 300-310bhp mark with a little more in torque.
here's how it looked when I 1st got it, dents everywhere and no shine at all!!

then all this happened!!

then upped it's game with a thorough going over with some G3, new wheels and some tyres!!

new brakes too!! much needed to say the least!!

plenty more to come with this!! it ran a 14.09 @109mph at the first rwyb of the year at santa pod!! not bad for a 4 speed auto that weighs 1600kg before I sit my fat arse in it!!

That is all

Gary

Cheers guys. I got told that 109mph was a very good terminal speed for that time!! It doesn't really get going properly untill its over the ton....then its only got 12mph to go as it still has the jdm 180km speed restriction!! These things are bargains now really, a specced up tt like mine was over

Wellcome in mate, always loved these and the V8 models.
Is there any driver selection of gears, or is it full auto?
