Laptop's~ Recommendations please?

+1 for 10" notebooks if you carry it around a lot, although I'd probably buy a Samsung like Tony if I was buying again rather than my Asus Eee. The 1kg weight and unbeatable battery life make a big difference, but it's good to get back onto a proper (19"+) screen and keyboard once back home.

if you just web then a netbook or even tablet is fine, if you want to actualy do something like edit pictures photoshop or video, then stay away from intel Atom based stuff (most netbooks) its horribly slow.

Acers still a good balance of quality vs price
Dell do some good stuff, but tech support is poor

nah just kidding....

but in 6months or so there maybe some non apple competition so you can buy an android or ms tablet with out feeling violated ripped off (no flash!) and skint.
