Race suits & Technical questions

Post by pablo »

At the start of 2010 we were informed that proban race suits to EN533 standard would remain acceptable till the end of 2010.

I have now come across.

Note for hillclimb/sprint competitors

We have received the following from the MSA regarding overalls for speed events:

Proban overalls to EN533 will remain acceptable for speed events (hillclimb & sprint) in 2011, with FIA homologation 8856-2000 compulsory thereafter.

Surely this must also include Time Attack..........

Best guess :)
Extinguishers are compulsory 1.75 litres AFFF and bolted down securely. It has to be on quick release brackets and within reach of Bart when he is strapped in. The brackets that mount to the car should use a minimum of two 6mm bolts

The rain light is a bit ambiguous as some events let you use the rear fog light. You'll need to get clearance from Clarence on this one.
