He only got 6.2k mate.........I know it's a TV show, but I hope he deals harder than that normally?

It did look lovely in the end but the way those bills piled up (And then that included him mugging that guy with his 'straight and clean' EsCos wheels!!

So who's going to be the first to buy a Sapphire then? :D

To be totally honest going cossie is something that we agreed we would never do, but our desire to be competitive in Time Attack outweighed our feelings and probably sense.

Cossie tax is a fecking killer if you dont know the cars. We recently (2 weeks ago) came across an item that we will need. Bearing in mind these parts are identical for xr4x4 and cosworth, there was a difference of 50% in price.

That could be said throughout the motoring world; just ask anyone that has owned a GTR 32 or an E36 M3........

Took the car for a little road trip today:D. Apart from a dodgy battery that didn't want to start the car is ran perfectly with out a single hiccup.

The 160 mile trip across to say hello to Stu was well worth it, even though according to the fuel gauge we only getting about 15 mpg. Motorway driving at the speed limit:(. We stopped to fill up on route to find the gauge was faulty and we actually had 10 litres more than the gauge was showing:driving:.

All was going well until we started down a rutted lane and BANG:mad: The underside of the car had struck something hard and it sounded as if we had ripped something off:willy_nilly: I jumped out and scrambled around on the floor to inspect the damage. Luck was with us this time, the exhaust bracket had had dug into the ground and ripped a rather large rock out which then got caught under the silencer, but as I said we were lucky and the car came away with only a few scratches.

Stu, Tan.....thanks for the hospitallity it was great to catch up with you both:D

Mate, if your car can survive 'the lane' a full season in Time Attack should be a piece of cake :)

It was nice to see you two today and to see a full on TA car bobble down the track to the house was a bit surreal to put it mildly. The very occasional passers by that we do get are normally John Deeres or Masseys

The car exudes character way beyond that of a money no object build. I hope you enjoy TA in 2011 or 12, whenever you both take part. Just paint those ginger wheels :D
