Who else can remember the scare mongering that went on not long after these and the montego came out about these uber high tech cars that were controlled by computers. (ecu`s) And how mega expensive they were to fix if these pooter thingy`s went wrong?:rofl:

Blooming good race that. More entertaining than F1!

I had a 2L MG Maestro company car when working for a BL dealer years ago. Was fairly quick but had terrible torque stear as i remember. Had a mate who had a souped up 3L Crapi. Took the company car to the Pod one weekend he was running inn RWYB. I signed on, junked the air filter and beat him down the strip even though he was running slicks. Needless to say he was peeved lol.
