these are the "cheap" chinese kits everyone bangs on about, my mate bought one for his VR6 (via america) and to be honest it's held together....but he has only run small boost through it >7psi

Oh God...........Rob, stop looking at turbo kits for your car. Stop looking at tuning bits, full stop :D

How many miles has your mate had out the kit Hugh? 7psi is only half a bar of boost, so that's pretty much fuck all, but I guess the engine was never designed to take a turbo (high compression etc)

Yes, all cheap parts. A proper quality turbo should cost this much! As has been said the turbos probably last a while on low boost.

I have had a couple of lads asking me to fit these kits to Civics etc. They buy these cheap lits not realising that the fitting, fueling, ecu and setting up will cost around

aye it may say T3/4 hybrid but it'll a knock off tuby just waiting to disintigrate and launch bits of itself through your engine.
