Had a great day, as you will see, got to just over 170mph on the runway. New inlet manifold and throttle body on, just waiting to get home so i can get it mapped.

Not watched the footage (yet) but I had no idea an Evo would hit that speed on standard gearing?! Bloody good effort :D

I did the MLR trackday at Donington a week later and it felt like i was going backwards sometimes, but there were a lot of stripped out track cars there. Got talking to some young lads with Century Motorsport, driving a Ginetta, got home and watched Motors TV, and there he was, turns out he was racing in the FIA GT Series, Benji Hethrington i think his name was, nice lad too.

There was still more there as well, i think it was about 7.5 k rpm, but as it's been remapped, there's no rev limiter. probably only about 165pmh really, cos speedo's never give the proper speed. Hopefully if i'm home next year, i'd like to do the 30-130 at Maraham, see what it really does. With the new inlet manifold and throttle body, should be a bit more as well.
