Very high speed Mustang Crash

Post by Stuart »

I didn't think much of this until I saw the slow motion replay

<object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TTzbBRyOO0o&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TTzbBRyOO0o&hl ... &version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>

Horrendous. I understand that the driver was Ok, which is astonishing given the speed of the accident. I know the car is quoted as getting away from him at 260; I'm only guessing that the car flipped/rolled at considerably less, but I haven't found any more details yet.

Nice cage though. Done the job.

Incredible footage that, a real testiment to the qualility engineering and build of the roll cage.

Salt flat speed trails are crazy!!

Shows how essential a Haans device is these days, you could see how well it did its job!!

Im amazed that he didnt even let go of the steering wheel..

Did the car spend quite a lot of time in the air? It seems so smooth as the sun passes around the car until the jolt of impact and debris flies about :/
