i've always liked MX5's shame they always get a bad press :/

Depends where you read Dan. Most of the 'proper' performance related forums like the cars, and rate the handling to be just about spot on. MX-5's get a bit of stick due to the hairdresser/girly image but a lot of people are missing out on a wonderful, simplistic car that is cheap to buy and run. If I was the size of a normal bloke, I would have bought one by now; absolutely no doubt about it.

I know you know all of this stuff mate, but it makes no sense to me that one of the very best handling, every day cars gets slaughtered because of a few knob ends. It's the spitting image of the Lotus Elan from the '60's. How on Earth can that be a bad thing?
