In malta there are loads of unrusty MKI's and II's .. saw one for sale for 350 euro's .. no idea what the export duty would be .. :)

1747 euros - Escort mk1 for autocross racing only used twice in very good condition complete with trailer Lm750. tel:79068926

Jason, You v`e missed a trick in for that true barn find look you should have un-done one of the number plate screws and stuffed a bit of straw in the grille, then taken a photo to realy impress the practical classic crew!:D It does look rather good after the wash though!:thumbs:

My unit looked a little bit like that when I had the coupe shell and thought about making Betty road legal. The bagging and tagging soon went out of the window :)

Best of luck with the Escort mate. A slow burn this one then?

yes stu a slow burner ,i am having to adopt a different mind set doing this rather than a rip it and skip it track car style build :sifone:

its always a good idea to bag n tag stuff cuz if you lose parts for these old cars there expensive to replace, top man.

from the look front end there is not much rust, how is there rest of the car?

is that also your mk4 escort that a can see?
