Right another update, the slave cylinder isn't at fault. The bolts that mount it have sheared off and are stuck in the top of the gearbox :@ fuck sake.

So this weekend there's going to be some fun and frolics on the drive way trying to get to these bastards drilled out.

Okay, so despite having booked the afternoon off work i still havent been able to undo anything from underneath the car. tomorrow we'll have another look and determine what's the best course of action to tackle accessing the broken bolt;

thing that puzzles me is where has the first bolt gone? it couldnt have fallen out because this is right ontop of the gearbox

Best guess is that it was never there in the first place and thats what put the extra strain on the one that was there!!!! I would soak the remaining part in wd40 for the evening and then use an easy out tmrw.. Good luck mate.
Well the skyline is gone for good But how cool is my little replacement!!!!! 7lbs 12oz of pure joy....

What a shitter:smash:. But on the upside at least you've now found the problem. It's not that i'm always upbeat, just that once you know what the problem is, you can then finally make decisions on what to do. Good or Bad.

Good luck with getting it sorted.

thats what i thought. if there was two, both would've sheared.
the stud has been totally showered in plusgas so hopefully if we can get to it, it should make things easier :)

To true Paul :) good job i didnt just go straight ahead and order a slave and master cylinder. Just glad that the bolt sheared on the drive way and not out on the road somewhere :o

Looks like it could be a bit of a pain but a Dremel with a flexi attachment might do the trick.
