Well done Russ  Had the use of one of these for a few months and loved it.

By the way, what the Hell is double zinc plating? Zinc coating/plating 'coming away' will only happen if there is poor adhesion in the first instance and as you can only plate one metal onto another with an electric charge, conductivity needs to be good from outset. Seeing Toyota's work/facilities I can't see this being a big difference @ Mazda, so I reckon that must one of those myths of the trade Russ. Double zinc? Is that like a left handed screw driver? :D

Sold is sold though, so excuse my verbal riposte

Spot on mate! Apparently the sheet metal was zinc coated from the suppliers (zintec i used to use all the time in my distant past as a fabricator) Mazda then tried to coat it again as they normal zinc coat the metalwork before its pressed, Yes it did n`t stick and this is where the problem layed? Well thats what my vosa man (mazda guru) told me! It could well be total bollocks:confused: Anyway..... yes it no matter now!:)
