As stu and ben put was a excellent day great food great company weather was great, the journey there and back was faultless all three golfs ran with out any major issues.

The only issue i had was as the golf reach top speed the light weight bonnet started to lift and go into a v shape.

The vw golf was the car of choice for many on the day which included race , trackday and standard ones and i don,t think one of them had a issue.

Also got a ride in loyds vr6 golf the torque and sound and the way it reved for a v6
was amazing very tempting.

Unfortunatly i didn't get ben's flat out spin on camera with stu very close which i think he got a black flag for but i think when the bloke came over and saw the size of stu said it was another black golf i wonted but stu's was the only one there.

Carn't wait for cadwell where the golfs will be more at home.

All the best mike

Well my heart wasn't in doing maham this time but I ended up speaking to lots more people and getting a few passenger rides which made it a good day. The VR6 run well all day only with tyre issue's really. BUT the last lap of the day, last corners before the pit straight young Lloyd must have felt “the force” was with him and turned in at around 100mph the back end stepped.............cones, tyre smoke, screeching (screaming) and steam. Marshall popped over to congratulate Lloyd on the car control but sadly in the “controlled” fall off the track a water pipe got ripped apart which was very odd but no worries, car on the trailer and home. Good to see the Vw's out in force. Really glad to of seen Ben's spin.

I honestly thought I was going over :) ... it wasn't my fault - it was mikes for his discussion on how late you can brake into the corner before the chicane ... 90 to 40 in 2 metres was a bit optimistic - if only I had it on camera .... having such similar cars has made it so much more fun.
