FRom memory there should be 3 pipes to the bleed valve, I suspect that it's one of the jobs still to be done. I'll ask the question later and no doubt i'll be told to 'stop worrying'.

I'll give Alan the bad hews about his pipe, but i'm sure that if he keep it on for road use and then take it off for track he'll be happy:bart:

Gary - I did speak to Gordon about a wasted spark set up and his reply was simple he said "You will be":)

There's actually a few things that Gordon either wants to Do / Not Do and Have / Not Have, with the car. I think Gordon's looking forward to next year as much as we are.

today started off making the much needed heat sheilding between the
turbo an and the brake servo, this is needed as pipes run along back the bulkhead
and just next to the exhaust down pipe
Image

after fitting the rota arm, dizzy, conecting leads, putting oil and water in this happened, video clip

Image

1 problem we found when it started is that the turbo/manifold
flange is leaking and this is a easy fix

jobs left to do are,
1. pipe up wastegate
2. wire up fuel pump with a uprated relay
3. run engine in
4. map ECU
5. make braket for ECU

with out you guys this could not of happened myself and paul
are eternally greatfull to the guys who helped us out thru or diffucult time:thumbs:

I was thinking of this today!
Well done to you both for your grit and determination in seeing this through. It sounds lovely coming to life, and when the final jobs are done, it'll be immense.
Have a good drink, you deserve it!!

As soon as we work out how to take a readable photo of the receipt we'll get it up. Tjhe problem is I don't own a scanner and the printing on it is not the darkest so when you take a photo you can't read it:frown:

Been on a bit of a downer for the past few weeks, that's why i've not been on here much. I was there throughout the build of this car even whilst on crutches. Now that the engine has been built I have not been there for any of it. The one area that I had a lot of input into and I wasn't there when it was put together. As silly as it might sound, but of late I have felt that it was just Alan's car and not ours. Just feeling a bit left out of things at the moment, no ones fault just bad timing with my foot.

This project is something that me and Alan have dreamt about for years but never actually thought that we would do it. Now that we have, I missed it.....

God I sound like a whinging old man............

No mate, you've put you heart and soul into that car, and been an equal part of the process. Then your injury sidelines you, and just when it all comes to life, your unable to be there how you'd want to be.
It MUST suck.
Being objective though, I'm sure it'll be a distant memory when you and the team are taking out competing. There's some truth in the old saying, there darkest hour is before the dawn.
Keep strong buddy :)

after doing a few miles on the dyno gordon found out that one of the injectors was playing up
so i replaced them all and after a bit more of a run gordon
said "HE WE GO" and this was result
Image

car is running at only 12psi and the ECU was making the fueling run bit lean.
the car was only reved upto 5400 cuz its still new but once bedded in will rev to 7000RPM:D
gordon will sort out the problem tomorrow hopefully and we'll get the car
back on the dyno and turn the boost up bit:drool5:

i have video footage of the car running which ill put up ether later tonight or in the morning
