Help please?
I have recently purchased a replacement for my trusty old mazda 6. The new one has an ipod dock. I dont have an ipod, but my wife has a coulpe so i thought great i can nab one of hers. The problem im having is when i plug it in all i can get it to play is Alexandra Burke`s Bad boys!:banghead: It does not matter what i have playing before i plug it in it goes straight to the same bloody track! And NO that track would n`t be on my chosen playlist!:)
Can anybody shed any light as to what is going on?
incar ipod dock.
Is it a playlist its playing ?
Have you tried doing a full turn off of the ipod. You dont say which ipod it is so its usually a case of holding the button in the middle and the play button to reset.
When you try playing a track on the ipod, is it only playing that one song (like its stuck with repeat audio etc).
You say you have replaced your Mazda 6....is that with another Mazda 6

It sounds like a problem with the ipod rather than the car dock.
Can you play any other songs on the ipod itself ? Can you select any other music ? Have you tried plugging the ipod into the pc and doing a 'restore' ? This can be done by going into itunes, plugging the ipod in and selecting it on the left hand side and then in the window on the right there is a button for 'restore'. Is here definitely is other music on it and not just the Burke song
Did you try the full reset on the ipod ?
You said there are other ipods in the house, what happens if you plug one of those into the lead in the car ? Does that work properly ?

My dad had this .. not the song but the repeating of only one track over and over again .. you got that song set on repeat .. plane and simple.
Right, best thing ... if it's not showing as on repeat.
First make sure that your iPod’s hold button isn’t on. This is the little switch at the top left corner of the iPod video that you can move to “lock” the iPod’s buttons. If this is on, you’ll see a little orange area at the top of the iPod nano and a lock icon on the iPod’s screen. If you see either of these, move the switch back and see if this fixes the problem.
If the hold switch wasn’t the problem do the following:
Move the hold switch to the on position and then move it back to off.
Hold down the Menu button on the clickwheel and the center button at the same time. Hold these together for 6-10 seconds. This should restart the iPod nano. You’ll know the iPod is restarting when the screen changes and the Apple logo appears.
